Maple Loft Ladder and Railing
Loft Line
A steep maple ship’s ladder up to a loft, paired with a matching maple railing of turned balusters.
In a small building with a loft, a full staircase eats too much floor. A ship’s ladder — steeper than a stair, with flat treads rather than rungs — gets you up while leaving the room below open.
The ladder’s stringers and treads are solid maple, and so is the loft railing above: turned balusters between square newels with round caps, all in a light natural finish that suits the bright, vaulted space.
