Piano-Key End-Grain Cutting Board
Middle C
A thick end-grain cutting board laid out as a piano keyboard, with walnut black keys and thin walnut lines between the white keys.
End-grain boards are made from short blocks stood on end, so a knife slips between the fibres rather than slicing across them. That’s easier on your knives and helps the board hide cut marks.
This one turns the construction into a keyboard: walnut blocks form the black keys, and a thin walnut line separates each white key, running all the way down the edge. It sits on small feet to keep it off the counter.
